We are the holding identity that lets the next company in the group get started without recompiling the brief. The brief is shared. The cap table, legal entity, founder, and engineering org are shared. The user is not.
Three names. One person. Two operating companies.
Ebstar is the personal brand: the music side, the macro-influence, the public-facing parent identity. Ebenworks is the holding identity: corporate paperwork, engineering org, brand kit. Imali and Chingu are the operating companies.
Ebstar is what the world hears. Ebenworks is what the world signs contracts with. Imali and Chingu are what the world uses.
Because the brief outlives the industry.
We could have stayed inside Imali, then started Chingu inside Imali, then stretched the Imali brand around two products that don’t share a market. Many do. We didn’t.
The clean separation lets each operating company speak to its own users in its own register, with its own legal posture and its own pricing logic. Imali is POPIA-first. Chingu is PIPA-first. Neither one is the master brand. The master brand is the brief.
Holding-company structure also makes it possible to invest in shared infrastructure (the brand kit, the writing rules, the voice playbook, the engineering tooling) without making any single operating company carry the cost. The next company gets a head start the size of two years of work.
Imali is not a company that has a sister AI startup.
It’s a company that shares a brief with another company that shares the brief.
The mission is the constant.
The industry is the variable.
Every Ebenworks company exists to serve people the world stops short of seeing. The category, the surface, the technology: all variable.

The next city is decided by the next company, which is decided by the next overlooked population. We are not in a hurry to add a fourth before company 03 names a place.
