What is Chingu?
Chingu is a Korean-native voice AI that checks on seniors living alone every day and notifies welfare workers and families the moment something changes.
Is Chingu live?
Chingu has been deployed in production in Korea since 25 March 2026, and is recruiting its first municipal pilot. The company is raising pre-seed.
How fast does Chingu respond?
It targets a ~700ms end-to-end response — a per-stage latency budget across speech recognition, the language model's first token, and the start of speech synthesis.
How does Chingu protect a senior's privacy?
Voice is treated as biometric data: separate consent, AES-256 encryption, data stored in Korea, and permanent deletion after 90 days (PIPA Article 21). The AI identity is disclosed, per the AI Basic Act Article 31.
Who is Chingu for?
Around 2.3 million Korean seniors living alone (KOSIS, 2025), their families, and the welfare workers and municipalities who support them.
